Kyamaleera Wildlife Education Centre (KWEC)
KWEC was created as a partnership of CSWCT, Wildlife Clubs of Uganda, Kyabigambire sub county local government, Kyabigambire Rural Integrated Development Association (KRIDA) and Environment Development Under Community Action Through Empowerment (EDUCATE) Uganda. This partnership established KWEC as a Community Based Organization by creating a constitution and registering it with the local government and the district.

To promote generation and dissemination of wildlife ideas and information for the benefit of the local and global community.
KWEC Vision
A community that appreciates that the value of wildlife conservation goes beyond social welfare.
Strategic objectives
• To promote generation and dissemination of wildlife conservation information.
• To promote establishment of physical infrastructure for wildlife education center
• To undertake mobilization for embracing of biodiversity conservation by local people
• To transfer vocational skills in wildlife and natural resource conservation among vulnerable groups
• To promote environmentally friendly enterprises.
• To become a centre of lobbying and advocacy for the environment
Activities of the centre
• Hosting schools for educational experiences through showing DVDS, Forest walks, Bird Identification, participation in nursery work, debates and talent shows
• Venue for community trainings on various environmental conservation activities
|• Demonstration of appropriate energy saving technologies
• Demonstration of best practices of tree planting and nursery management
• Offer field and community experience to tourists that visit Ngamba Island.
